Noel Jefferson has been twice elected as CB 1 Secretary. She fought
against
DOT’s proposed tour bus park on West Street. She produced
“As-of-Right
The Doc,” a half-hour documentary highlighting the effects of more
than
100,000 gallons of toxic diesel fuel being stored and manually
transferred
in a landmark building in the heart of Tribeca. Noel opposes the
SoHo
Sanitation Garage scheduled for development near West, Washington
and
Spring Streets. She stands for more classrooms and green spaces.
“As-of-Right,”
a talk show which Noel hosts and produces weekly on cable, discusses
issues
that affect our local communities. Her award-winning
photojournalistic
images of 9/11 and its aftermath were exhibited throughout the USA
and
Europe in the years that followed. MoMA then exhibited her work, and
the NY Public Library added a dozen of her photos to their permanent
collection.
